First Look At Lash On Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Lash is an Inhuman with a unique history. In the comics, he was raised in the hidden Inhuman city of Orollan in Greenland. As one of the very few allowed to undergo Terrigenesis, Lash grew up believing that not all Inhumans are worthy of their gifts. When Black Bolt set off the Terrigen Bomb, and Inhumans began appearing across the globe, Lash began a quest to find each of these NuHumans and judge them worthy or wanting. Those he found wanting didn’t live to tell the tale.
With similar events transpiring in Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to events that went down in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.last season, it’s no wonder the MCU’s version of Lash is making his debut. ComicBook.com recently spoke to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet, who plays the Inhuman Daisy “Quake” Johnson, and found out how she and her character felt when they first encountered Lash, with his monstrous appearance.
“I think Raina was so shocking and Lash, he's obviously even more shocking,” Bennet said. “I like to think that they've seen their fair of crazy shit and that's just something that's pretty insane but not totally mind-blowing. So much has happened, I don't want to say that the team is jaded I think that there's definitely like that, ‘Okay, that's f*cking weird but let's try and find him.’ I kind of think that's more a let's shake it off and find this guy and see what he's up to, what he's doing. For me, on set, when Matt walked on to set, honestly, me and Luke [Mitchell] and Henry [Simmons] had our jaws dropped. I actually think he looks even better in person than he does on camera. I wish everyone could see him in person, it's just shocking.”

NEW STAR WARS TOY

Chris Evans Willing To Extend His Captain America Contract With Marvel

He tells Collider that, if Marvel wants him to stick around, all the studio has to do is ask:
“Listen, if Marvel wants me they got me. I’ve never had such a relationship where you have such—I mean look at my resume, I’m used to being on set being like, ‘Ah is this movie gonna be terrible?’ Marvel just can’t stop making great movies, they do it in their sleep. Its wonderful directors and producers and actors and scripts, and it’s like a playground as an actor.”
Short version: Captain America is a big upgrade from Human Torch.
As to Evans’ initial hesitation about joining the Marvel Universe, he seems pretty confident that he ended up making the right decision:
“It’s so mind-boggling that I was so tentative in the beginning to jump onboard. What an asshole I would be if I hadn’t done this. I mean can you imagine? Kicking myself—I’d never forgive myself!”
In another recent interview, Evans said that he was “terrified” thinking about being finished with Captain America. Assuming Marvel Studios doesn’t have other plans for the star-spangled suit and shield, maybe a contract extension is in Evans’ future.

MArvel Studio Drama

President Kevin Feige and the Studios now report directly to Walt Disney Studios' Alan Horn instead of Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter, continued Thursday afternoon with a new report by THR. The Hollywood trade, quoting several unnamed sources, reports that Feige nearly quit Marvel altogether during the production of Captain America: Civil War, forcing Disney CEO Bob Iger to find a new solution.
The primary concern named in the report was that of budget. With Civil War's extensive cast of characters, it's more akin to anAvengers film than a solo hero's. In fact, with two full teams clashing in the film, it has the most heroes to appear together in one Marvel Studios yet. That naturally upped the budget, something Perlmutter might not have been keen to do.
Aside from the coincidental civil war within Marvel over Civil War's budget, the report speculates on what changes, if any, the industry should expect with Marvel Studios' new direct line of contact. Their sources are mixed on this point, with some expecting little to no changes and others thinking they'll ease up a bit on the purse strings - and the contract demands. Of course, those contract demands, like getting Samuel L. Jackson to sign a 9 movie contract for a couple minutes of post-credit screentime, have proved the backbone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far.

Stephen Rider has been cast as 'Blake Tower'

in the comics, Tower will be a New York City District Attorney in New York City who helps provide information to the nearly-blind superhero Daredevil (Matt Murdock) so that he can apprehend criminals.
