It may not be with EA Games (yet), but developer Red Fly is making their Darth Maul game anyway.
During a Q&A, Dan Borth, owner and CEO of Red Fly Studio, said that his team has been working on a canceled Star Wars: Darth Maul game as an extra piece on their own time. The work is being made to produce a full demo for the current generation of systems, then take that to EA, the exclusive publisher of console games in the Star Wars family for the next decade, with hopes of approval and a green light.
"We have been burning a candle for this game since it was killed in hopes we can get it turned back on again," Borth said during aReddit AMA. "IF that is to happen we need to approach EA with a demo that will impress them. I think we have that or are close to it. Still it is completely not up to us."
