Watchmen Star Billy Crudup Up For Role In Alien: Covenant
According to Deadline, Billy Crudup "is in advanced negotiations for a key part" in Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant. No further details were provided about the role.
If the 47-year-old actor, who starred in Almost Famous and Watchmen, officially comes on board, he'll be joining a cast that features Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez.

When Cinema Blend spoke to the writing duo about whether or not the sequel for deadpool would be based on a certain storyline or series, they went into detail on how their process works.
It’s how we went about the first one, you know? We dove into all of the runs, and then, you know, fell in love with the character and the tone and the texture. Then we set down the comics and came up with our own storyline, and I think we’ll do the same for the second one.

Mark Hamill Tweets "Exotic Creature" Picture from Star Wars: Episode VIII Set
It looks like Carrie Fisher's beloved dog, Gary, has a new pal on the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII. Mark Hamill, who reprises his role as Luke Skywalker in the film, tweeted out a picture from the set - or at least from video village on set - with his daughter's dog on the set.

Hugh Jackman's third and final Wolverine film is targeting an R-rating, there will be an R-rated cut of Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice released on Blu-ray, and now director Peyton Reed is one-upping them all with plans of an NC-17 rating for Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Reed tweeted, "Breaking: ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is going FULL NC-17. Confirmed." This is of course a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Flash Showrunner Says Man In The Iron Mask's Identity Will Make Sense In A Very Satisfying Way
The following story contains SPOILERS for the “King Shark” episode of The Flash.This week’s episode of The Flash, “King Shark,” revealed one of this season’s biggest mysteries, the identity of Zoom. However, mysteries still linger, and one of them involves the man in the iron mask.
Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg promises that this mystery will be solved in due time, and fans should appreciate the reveal.
“The mystery of the Man in the Iron Mask will play out over the rest of theseason with some clues being layered in along the way,” Kreisberg tells TV Line. “When you do find out who it is, everything will make sense in a very satisfying way.”

Life-Size Harley Quinn Replica From Batman: Arkham City Revealed
At Toyfair this year, NECA unveiled a new addition to its life-sized statue line featuring everyone's favorite crazy psychiatrist, Harley Quinnzel. This version of Harley is based on her Arkham City incarnation Harley stands at 5'11', and was made of foam rubber and latex. Just like the Arkham Knight Life-Sized Statue before it, the team at NECA hand paints these so they can nail down the little (or not so little in these cases) details that make the statue stand out. They've also given her synthetic hair instead of molding it and adornments like her wallet chain are actually made of metal. The statue will be retailing at $1,200, but c'mon, how cool would it be to have one of these in your office or game room? Just make sure to tell people when they stay over that this is in the room, because walking in on this with the lights off and not expecting it is a jump scare waiting to happen.

True Blood's Kelly Overton Cast As Lead In Van Helsing
Kelly Overton (True Blood) has been cast as the titular lead of SyFy’s upcoming Van Helsing series from Nomadic Pictures. The series has also cast Jonathan Scarfe (Hell on Wheels), Christopher Heyerdahl (Hell on Wheels), Paul Johansson (Mad Men), David Cubitt (Ray Donovan) and Tim Guinee (Homeland).
Van Helsing is inspired by Dracula, and follows the resurrection of Vanessa Helsing (Overton), the next in line in the lineage of monster killing warriors. Waking in a world already ruled by vampires, Vanessa must lead mankind in an attempt to reclaim the planet. According to Deadline, “Scarfe plays Axel, a career Marine with unwavering devotion and loyalty to both duty and his wards, despite years of isolation and endless vampire attacks. Heyerdahl will play Sam, a survivor of the vampire Rising, who relies on his strength and observational skills to stay alive. Cubitt will play John, another survivor of the vampire Rising, whose actions are fueled by anger, prejudice, suspicion and fear. Johansson will play Dimitri, a vampire turned before the Rising, he is now the patient and calculating leader of the vampires. Guinee will play Flesh, a vampire foot soldier who does battle with Vanessa and conceals a tragic past.”
“We’ve been extremely blessed to get such a wonderfully talented and diverse cast for Van Helsing,” said writer/showrunner Neil LaBute.
“Kelly will be an amazing Vanessa and our lead cast is nothing short of outstanding,” said Chad Oakes, Co-Chairman of Nomadic Pictures.
Already signed on to direct episodes of Van Helsing are Michael Nankin (Hell on Wheels), Jason Priestley (Haven), David Frazee (Orphan Black), Simon Barry (Continuum) and Amanda Tapping (The Magicians).
