People magazine sat down with the President and First Lady to discuss which films, books, television shows and songs from 2015 were their favorites.
The film that President Obama most enjoyed this year was Ridley Scott's The Martian, which starred Matt Damon as a NASA astronaut stranded on Mars with limited resources. Last year, Barack chose Richard Linklater's 12-year-project Boyhood as his favorite. The First Lady was most fond of the Disney-Pixar animated film Inside Out, which has grossed $850M at the worldwide box office.
