Tom Hanks Has Begun Work On Toy Story 4

Constantine's Magical Tattoo Will Pull Oliver Out Of A Very Dark Place On Arrow

The tattoo John Constantine placed on Oliver Queen during the recent episode "Haunted" will come into play fairly soon in the flashbacks -- but might not work against Damien Darhk later in the season.
Baron Reiter, who is harvesting drugs and looking for magic on Lian Yu, is the threat in the flashbacks this season -- but his magic may or may not "sync up" with that of Darhk, the season's main threat in the current day, according to one of the showrunners.
“Basically Constantine says to him that this is insurance against Reiter, and we’re going to deliver on that promise entirely,” executive producer Wendy Mericle told EW. “It’s going to help Oliver when he’s in a very dark place and time when he has no other way out. It’s going to be the thing that pulls him out of a very dark spot and literally saves him.”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Are Rey and Kylo Ren Twins?

There are a lot of theories surrounding Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and frankly, most of them are pretty out there, crazy, or just pretty dumb. But one sticks out above the rest if you think of the history of Star Wars, both in today’s current canon and in what is now called the “Legends” stories of the old Expanded Universe.
The theory is that Rey and Kylo Ren are siblings, or even further, are twins. Rey has talked about family in her voiceover, afterall, and we assume from the lines of dialogue said by Kylo’s toys that he’s trying to recruit someone to his side. So why does this stick out so much? Because there’s precedent.
Of course, the first that everyone knows is simply Luke and Leia. One of the greatest lines in Star Wars history, and a personal favorite, is the very simple, “No, there is another.” Yoda says this to Obi-Wan Kenobi, and it’s our first real indication that Leia is not only Luke’s twin, but has the Force on her side, as well.
But there was also an arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the animated series that’s also all official continuity, that dealt with twins of a sort. In that, the “Mortis Trilogy,” Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka wind up on a mysterious planet that floats in out of nowhere called Mortis. It turns out it’s basically the focal point for The Force (think of it as the Rock of Eternity or Vanishing Point, comic book fans). There, the Force is kept in balance by a Father, who wields both Light and Dark Side, and a pair of siblings – Daughter, the light, and Son, the dark. Anakin Skywalker, when referred to as “the chosen one” and how he’s “supposed to bring balance to the Force,” was picked by the Father to replace him.
And he said no.
This helped tip the scales in favor of The Son, and thus the entire galaxy was plunged shortly thereafter into the Dark Times, the era of the Empire at the height of their power. Here’s where we go from fact to theory.
The theory is, because Anakin had been chosen to be the new Father by the Force itself, it didn’t let that go. Indeed, he fathers a set of twins, Luke and Leia. Luke is tempted by, and even arguably goes into the Dark Side, albeit extremely temporarily in Jedi. Leia, meanwhile, remains the hope for the Light, and guides them back into it.
In the Legends universe (again, non-canon now), Leia and Han were married, and they had twins named Jacen and Jaina. As the Force-sensitive one to first have children, Leia became the new figurehead of the Force in that scenario. Sure enough, Jacen fell to the Dark, and it was up to Jaina to stop him. Now, we know the movies have abandoned the old Expanded Universe, and are said to be telling 100% completely new stories. But while the EU is no longer in any level of canon, the Clone Wars definitely still is. Having an imbalanced Force, especially upon an “awakening” would certainly allow for two new avatars to emerge, and who better than a pair of twins, the son to the Dark and the daughter to the Light?
The biggest problems with the theory are that it might be a bit too much of a retread (sure, Abrams wasn’t around for those Legends stories, but more than one member of the Star Wars Story Group at Lucasfilm definitely was), and that we don’t even know if Han and Leia are married or still together, let alone have any children. Still, it’s an intriguing possibility, and now you have the “historical” context in the universe that makes it one of the more reasonable theories.

Andrew Lincoln Says The Walking Dead Midseason Finale Is Bananas

Tonight's season finale of The Walking Dead is "bananas," according to series star Andrew Lincoln.
There's always a high bar for finales and premieres on The Walking Dead -- and Lincoln is excited about what's coming up in the midseason finale and the season finale this year.
“There will be blood. The walls come down. And it’s going to be bananas,” Lincoln told TheWrap in an interview, saying that the second half of the season will be better than the first. He calls the Season Six finale, which just recently wrapped production, "dark" and "extraordinary."

Who Dies On The Walking Dead Midseason 6 Finale?

Let's take a look at our characters and evaluate the risks.
Rick - Safe. It's Rick. He's going to lead.
Carl - Danger. Likely won't be killed, but Ron is going to cause him some serious harm.
Glenn - Safe. He has to reunite with Maggie. And then Lucille.
Maggie - Safe. She has to reunite with Glenn.
Daryl - Safe. He'll probably show up late with Abraham and Sasha and save somebody's day.
Carol - Safe. She's well prepared for some zombie warfare.
Morgan - Danger. His comic book counter part doesn't make it past the Alexandria walls falling, but a similar death was given to Tyreese on TV. Morgan will likely survive the herd's invasion but we can't say for sure.
Michonne - Safe. She's fully equipped with the skills and tool to defend herself from the herd. It would be cool to see a comic parallel for her here, because as Morgan dies in the comics, she opens up for the first time and shows some true emotion.
Abraham - Safe. He'll rush in, one-liner-spewing hero-style to kick some zombie ass and save somebody.
Rosita - Danger. Though her comic book character makes it past this point, she saw a lot of lines last week, which is usually the kiss of death, and on top of that, Abraham may have a new interest: Sasha. Move over, Rosita.
Sasha - Danger. She's unpredictable and it may cost her despite finally appearing stable in 6x06 when talking to Abraham.
Eugene - Safe. Eugene will go on and see the larger world beyond this herd invasion.
Judith - Safe. She's made it this far (somehow) so it's hard to imagine her getting suddenly devoured by zombies.
Aaron - Safe. He's adaptable and an essential part of the new community being built.
Eric - Danger. His ankle is injured and the group is going to have to move fast to avoid the herd. He will only slow people down.
Deanna - Serious Danger. Her comic book counter part goes down in a blaze of gun shots as he is devoured by walkers. Deanna left her legacy with Rick when she handed him the plans for the Alexandria expansion.
Spencer - Danger. After his boneheaded decision in 6x07, it's safe to assume he is not safe when a massive herd of hungry walkers is running around.
Jessie - Serious Danger. Her comic book counter part gets cut off, literally, by Rick as she is devoured by zombies. Shortly after the two hook up on the pages, the walker herd comes in and gets a hold of Jessie and Rick severed her hand as she tried to hold on to Carl.
Ron - Danger. He may think he's in control, but in reality, he's never shot the gun he's carrying and he's likely to make a bad decision while holding it.
Sam - Danger. He's scared of the zombies and can't defend himself. One little sound and he'll attract them all to the Sam Buffet.
Enid - Safe. She and Glenn will likely search for a way inside and help fight off the herd.
Tobin - Dead.
Father Gabriel - Danger. His character survives quite a bit longer in the comics, but Gabriel seems to have run his course on the show. Though his death might be one which would make the audience say, "Yes! Finally!" and the writers never really provide us with those moments, Gabriel shouldn't be ruled as safe. We all know what happens to people who don't see eye to eye with Rick Grimes.
Tara - Danger. She risked her life last week to save Spencer and on top of that, has a new potential love interest with Denise, who in the comics dates Heath. She's one bad decision away from allowing the show to course correct in that direction while breaking the hearts of all the Tara/Denise shippers.
Denise - Safe. She's the only doctor left in the world. She can't clock out yet.
Heath - Safe. We've hardly even gotten to know Heath but him and his hair game will continue to grow in the second half of season six.

Did Robert Downey Jr. Let It Slip That Iron Man And Captain America Will Be In The Spider-Man Movie?

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans had an interesting exchange. After Evans had complained about how hot it was in Atlanta, Downey Jr. said, “By the way, we are going to shoot in Atlanta again, you and I.” Evans agreed, “I know, I’m ready, I’m ready.”
Looking out at Marvel’s schedule, the only upcoming Marvel Studios movie already slated for Atlanta is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Both Doctor Strange and Thor: Ragnarok have already announced filming locations in other areas of the world besides Atlanta.
Does that mean Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are going to be in Spider-Man?

Even More Footage Revealed In New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Promo Video

Captain America: Civil War Update

w
ith the release of the first teaser for Captain America: Civil War last week, it is clear that Bucky Barnes will be a central figure in the next Marvel film. In a new interview, Sebastian Stan indicates audiences will learn more about how Bucky became the Winter Solider. "What happened before the movie Winter Soldier, there will be a lot of things sort of made more clear in Civil War about what happened with him."

The Winter Soldier's relationship with Hydra may also be complicated in Civil War"Hydra, in a sense, is responsible for him still being alive," Stan says. Bucky may always have a certain relationship with Hydra because"in a way, they're like his second family."

He also notes that Bucky has learned more about his past since the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and that information comes with "a huge price" in Civil War. "It's not easy for him to learn about what he's done." Stan adds that Bucky will be a "problem for a lot of people" in Civil War.

Spider-Man Will Have Secret Identity & Film In Atlanta Says Tom Holland

Traditionally, superhero films and television series went to great lengths to conceal the identity of the superhero, however, when Marvel introduced their Cinematic Universe they went against the grain by making it a non-issue, focusing their attention elsewhere. "I think one of the most interesting things about Peter Parker for us is that he’s the only person in the MCU now that has a secret identity, so we all know who everyone else is," Holland told SHH while promoting In the Heart of the Sea. "I think it’s quite interesting to go back to that hiding behind a mask."

When production begins on the untitled Spider-Man solo film, Holland will be heading back to where he shot Captain America: Civil War scenes: Hotlanta! "We’re shooting in Atlanta for most of it, because they have studios there and I think it’s cheaper to build a New York set than it is to shoot here, because it’s going to be very expensive," Holland shared. "We probably will end up here (in New York) for one week or two."
This week's new Empire Magazine (via StarWarsNewsNetis a treasure trove of Star Wars: The Force Awakens information. While some of it may enter into spoiler territory for fans trying to stay as pure as possible (you've been warned, if you click that link!), director J.J. Abrams remained ever-carefully guarded, while still eeking out some new information.
The director said that he's looking to the original trilogy for the lightsaber battles' inspiration - not necessarily as slow and plodding as they were there, but in how they "felt more powerful because they were not as slick." The hope is that they're "much more primitive, aggressive, and rougher" in The Force Awakens. He wants it to be "a throwback to the kind of heart-stopping lightsaber fights [he] remembered being so enthralled by as a kid."
For other inspiration, Abrams turned not to the original trilogy, but to what those films were inspired by. He looked at John Ford Westerns for "the confidence," Kurosawa for "unbelievable scene choreography and composition," and "the powerful stillness" of Terrence Malick. George Lucas famously looked at Westerns, Samurai films, and serials for his inspiration when developing the first Star Wars, partially explaining both the "elegant weapon" of the Jedi and the gunslinger style and mentality of characters like Han Solo.

Ridley Scott Confirms Two More Sequels After Alien: Covenant

Ridley Scott has confirmed that two more sequels to Prometheus will follow Alien: Covenant, eventually linking up the prequel franchise’s storyline with that of the original 1979 Alien film.
With the Prometheus franchise, Scott is hoping to answer questions from that original that no one even thought to answer in its sequels.
Prometheus 1 was borne out of my frustration that on Alien 1 in 1979 - I only did one as I don't normally do sequels. I was amazed that in the 3 that followed that no-one asked the question ‘why the Alien, who made it and why?’ Very basic questions. So I came up with the notion of Prometheus 1, which starts to indicate who might have made it and where it came from,” Scott told The Hollywood Reporter.

Rumored Villain for Aquaman Film Revealed

While the script has only just been started according to screenwriter Charles Roven, rumors are already flying about Aquaman, the 2018 film in the new and growing DC Comics movie universe. JoBlo has a rumor that the early talks about the story have a villain: Ocean Master.
The character is Aquaman's half-brother, and thinks himself the true heir to the throne of Atlantis. While JoBlo frames this as a surprise villain, it's actually fairly obvious if you've looked at the media of the last few years. Ocean Master, or Orm, has been a primary villain for the entire newest run of the Aquaman comic books. He was also featured as the main villain in the animated film, Throne of Atlantis.

Man Tries To Rob Store Dressed As Darth Vader

the Force was not strong with Jacob Jeremy Mercer, who allegedly tried and failed to rob a Florida convenience store while dressed as Darth Vader.
The Dark Lord of the Sith was fought off by employees, and Mercer was later arrested by Jacksonville Beach Police and charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to local authorities.
Mercer entered the store in costume, carrying a gun and demanding money, but found out quickly that the Vader mask he was wearing apparently didn't provide much in the way of real protection: the police report says he was foiled when a store employee threw a jar of salad dressing in the suspect's face.
When Mercer was arrested, he had cuts on his face. A witness claims to have seen him rush out to his car and speed away, while pulling the Vader helmet off.
Mercer was the only one injured during the robbery. He was taken to a hospital for treatment to his face before being arrested.
