Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted its second trailer this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The trailer, which revealed audiences' first look at DC Comics big bad, Doomsday, was greeted with 23.2 million views in its first 24 hours on YouTube and Facebook. The previous trailer for Batman v. Superman drew in 30 million views in the same time span.
On the other side of the comic book movie spectrum, Captain America: Civil War aired its first trailer exactly a week prior to Batman v. Superman on the same late night show and racked up 61 million views in its first 24 hours online, however, this accounts for more than only YouTube and Facebook and is reported by Marvel. That's almost triple the views for Civil War in comparison to Batman v. Superman's latest.
